Hank Funk is a well-know western artist living in British Columbia and is a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA). Hank’s fascination with horses and free-spirited TV cowboys is the subject of his painting. The charm of those TV westerns that Loui Lamour wrote about fueled his interest in this subject. Hank’s use of bright colours in his painting speaks to a bodacious attitude and that has served as a unique means of self expression. “I try to create an expression in my paintings and if they can speak to the viewer and evoke an emotion, I feel I have succeeded and become the voice of their inner feelings”
