Abbotsford, BC – The supporting, fun-loving fans of The Reach’s past After Dark in the gallery will revel at a garden party during sunset this summer. Brenda and Arnold Falk are partnering with your Reach team this year to cultivate the art of raising funds tastefully with Twilight in the Garden on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 6pm at Tanglebank Gardens on Downes Road.

“The Falks offered to change this amazing, artsy fundraiser up a little by hosting it in their lush garden, casual bistro and lay-back patio country setting. We immediately agreed that there are no fixed perimeters when it comes to celebrating the arts, heritage and culture and their ability to educate and advance our community in creative and powerful ways,” says Laura Schneider, Executive Director of The Reach.

Band Quieros playing at Twilight in the Garden

Dance a few steps to the lively summer music of local Latin, touch of rock and contemporary band Quieros.

Guests will so enjoy socializing in the magical twinkling garden, the cool patio lounges, the pebble lane dining nooks and inside Brambles Bistro while sipping Limoncello and indulging in elegant West Coast artisan foods created by the bistro chefs. They may even dance a few steps to the lively summer music of local Latin, touch of rock and contemporary band Quieros, or young violinist Callie Gross, or try some twilight air moves of dancers Emma Boutilier and Jewel Miller.

Fraser Valley artists Cynthia Frenette, Chalie Howes and Shannon Thiesen will turn up their paintbrush strokes a notch during their suspenseful 20-minute artist’s paint-off on the garden patio. They will each create an original work of art that guests may vote for and bid on. And who would not be game to play little competitive or fun Bocce or Croquet on the lawn, or pose for a keepsake Corycatures portrait? Throughout the daylight to dusk summer’s night, guests can bid on priceless original works of art and a suite of tasteful, creative silent auction packages including a VIA Rail travel experience. They may also ask for a special foodie/garden card to win prizes like a morning at the firearms training range with the Chief Constable and a firearms instructor followed by lunch with Chief Rich.
