Abbotsford, BC – Let’s get a little spring in your step! The Reach is proud to host a spring concert featuring two accomplished young British Columbian musicians. On Saturday, May 25, 20191:30pm at The Reach (32388 Veterans Way), pianist Jennifer Lim and cellist Benjamin Louwersheimer will delight audiences with favourites like Franz Schubert’s Sonata in A Minor for Arpeggione and Piano D. 821, and Felix Mendelssohn’s Cello Sonata No. 2 in D Major, Op. 58.

The concert is a celebration of young creative talent in our region and a fundraiser for The Reach’s Emerge program, which supports aspiring artists and arts professionals ages 18-35 in the Fraser Valley. Thanks to generous event support provided by Ken Funk, all proceeds from concert tickets will go to this important program which builds cultural capacity in our community.

Korean-Canadian pianist Jennifer Lim has an international performance history and has worked as a concerto soloist across North America with symphonies from Vancouver to Mississippi. Praised by The Financial Times, Germany for her “stupendous finger technique in break-neck passages,” Lim made her debut in New York at Carnegie Hall and in Europe at the Eltville Festival in Germany in 2000. This avid chamber musician has released eight CDs to great commercial and critical acclaim. A graduate of both the Curtis Institute of Music and The Juilliard School, today Lim is the executive director of Beautiful Today which supports young artists and charities in Korea (www.beautifultoday.org).
